Premium ceramic tint for Florida heat, comfort and UV protection
Ceramic window tint is one of the main products that we offer at Economy Glass Tinting. Ceramic film assists with a number of issues like heat from the sun, UV radiation, glare on your glass, and overall driving comfort. It is the gold-standard in window treatment without using traditional metal.
We are partnered with SolarGard window films and can help our customers compare several film options based on what you are looking for with your vehicle.
Ceramic window tint is a high-achieving film applied to windows that uses microscopic ceramic particles to control the effects of the sun without using traditional metallic particles. This specific construction allows ceramic film to target heat and glare while maintaining a clean appearance and remaining compatible with the signal to electronic systems you use in your car every day.
For drivers in Florida, especially in and around Orlando, ceramic tint can be particularly appealing when the goal is to avoid the heat.
It can help address several of the things that make driving in Florida uncomfortable:
-
Solar heat entering through the glass
-
Harsh sunlight and glare
-
UV exposure on your skin
-
Hot seats to the touch and interior surfaces
-
Fading of interior materials like leather
-
Excessive heat buildup while parked
-
Discomfort during long drives

The important thing is choosing the right ceramic film and shade for the vehicle, rather than assuming every ceramic tint performs exactly the same.

Ceramic Tint vs. Regular Window Tint
No two window films are the same. They all focus on different factors.
The important point is that "ceramic" doesn't automatically mean every ceramic film performs identically. Film construction, shade, manufacturer, and installation all play a role. That’s why we offer a range of products.

Traditional Dyed Film
Primarily focused on appearance and basic solar control
Generally less expensive
Can provide shade and glare reduction
Lower-quality dyed films may be more susceptible to color change over time
Performance varies significantly by product

Ceramic Window Film
Uses ceramic technology for better performance and optical clarity
Designed for stronger solar and infrared heat control
Provides strong UV protection
Does not rely on metal that can interfere with electronic signals
Generally higher and more premium performance

Does Ceramic Tint Fade or Turn Purple?
Quality is the most important here.
The reasons drivers move away from inexpensive dyed films is experience with fading, change in color, bubbling, or an inconsistent appearance over time. Not to mention the dry, crumbling mess it leaves that tends to get everywhere.
It’s important to consider the manufacturer of the tint and how they test their products. We only offer tint from a manufacturer we trust who puts out incredible data. They update their data regularly after putting all their film lines through over-engineered testing. Since we have been around for 2 generations, we can attest to the tint we applied 20+ years ago. It still looks great even today.

What About Ceramic Windshield Tint?
Windshield tint is a different conversation to the side windows. We need to consider safety while driving during the day and at night. It is also the largest surface area in the vehicle that lets heat through to the interior. So, while we don’t recommend leaving it untreated, we have options for the windshield in particular.

Some drivers are interested in a very light or almost-clear ceramic film because they don’t want to adjust their glass at all besides adding some solar control to keep the car cooler. Some want a slightly darker film for privacy reasons while still being able to comfortably see.

We don't recommend choosing a windshield film based solely on how much heat it can reject. We will work together to consider some other factors as well. We'll help you understand the available options and the applicable requirements before installation.
How Much Does Ceramic Window Tint Cost?
Ceramic tint is generally positioned as a premium window film, so it typically costs more than basic dyed film.
The final price depends on factors such as:
-
Vehicle size
-
Number of windows
-
Type of vehicle
-
Film selected
-
Shade selected
-
Existing tint
-
Removal requirements
-
Windshield or additional glass
-
Installation complexity
-

Professional ceramic tint installations at approximately $200 to $600+, depending on vehicle size and tint choice.
That should be treated as a general market range, for an accurate price, the best approach is to tell us the year, make, and model of your vehicle and what you're looking to accomplish.
